Rejoice, fast food and and carb lovers because Twister Fries is back! It was two years ago, in 2012, when the public last saw a glimpse of the twisted deep fried creation of McDonald’s Philippines. And since that bitter-sweet farewell, many have posited the question–next to “What is Grimace?”–“When will Twister Fries return?” The answer, we now know, is September 18.

On the night of Wednesday, September 17,  the Facebook page of McDonald’s Philippines posted the cryptic teaser below asking users “What’s something at McDo that only happens once in awhile and will make you say #MinsanLangTo sa McDo!” The comments ranged from unlimited McDo Fries, free burgers, and–of course–Twister Fries. Then at 10 p.m. the announcement was made.

As to the question of how long we’ll be able to savor the presence of Twister Fries in our lives, that remains uncertain. However, does it really matter? People will always go crazy over Twister Fries. Because as this perfect example of scarcity value illustrates, “Scarcity drives people to action, making us act quickly for fear of missing out on an opportunity,” says Westside Toastmasters. Whatever. We’re hungry.-#EatsNowOrNever
